Your Excellency,

AN APPEAL/REQUEST TO BE CONSIDERED IN THE APPOINTMENT OF OSOPADEC CHAIRMAN, STATE COMMISSIONERS, AND DIRECTORATES OF AGENCIES AND BOARDS

Your Excellency, we write to first of all congratulate you on your emergence as the Executive Governor of Ondo State in the just concluded gubernatorial election.This is the Lord's doing and it is marvellous in our sights. It our prayers that God Almighty will grant you wisdom, knowledge and understanding to ride the affairs of this state for the betterment of all, Amen.

Your Excellency, we write to appeal to you sir, that Etikan ward be considered magnanimously for political positions/appointments under your watch, especially, OSOPADEC CHAIRMAN, STATE COMMISSIONERS AND DIRECTORATES in order to feel a sense of belonging in your Government. We are not dictating to you. Who are we to do so? We are just pleading with you based on our firm belief in your sense of judgement.

Your Excellency, relying on past records, the past political analyses on the appointment of individual(s) to occupy various positions revealed that all political wards in Ilaje Local Government had benefited greatly over the years, excluding ETIKAN WARD. We have chosen to use this medium to draw your attention to the marginalisation of Etikan Ward over the years and to seek redress at your feet.

YOUR EXCELLENCY, we wish to inform you that, when it comes to the strict adherence to the party instructions and Governor's directives, the Leaders, Elders and members of APC in Etikan ward have never for once acted contrary to party or Governor's orders. Even though those orders were not in favor of Etikan ward, owing to but not limited to the zoning arrangements. No political wards in Ondo State whose Leaders were more Loyal and committed than the leadership of Etikan ward APC. In term of voting strength, we always deliver massively.

Your Excellency, you will recall that at the last election which is still fresh in our memories, Etikan ward performed excellently by polling a total votes of 2,049 and came sixth position in Ilaje Local Government with just thirteen (13) units defeated some other units having 20 and above units. We have been demonstrating this over the years, but not being favoured by past political administrations. During the impeachment plot against you, one of our brilliant minds was also one of the brave persons who could speak or write against the impeachment, even though it was at the expense of his life and job. Etikan Ward has always been with you in all moments. Even, as a fallout of the presentation of staff of office to Ereke, our people refused to be tempted to work against you. We see you as our own both in good and bad times and we hope you will not turn your back at us at the time of reward.

We would like to draw your attention, Sir, to the political antecedents of Ilaje Local Government in terms of positions held since the inception of democracy in 1999 till date.

Though, these appointments are not based on zoning arrangement and not rotational, it is at the discretion of the appointors. Now that an appointor like you who believes in justice is in charge, we trust that you will right the wrongs of the past by considering Etikan Ward for juicy appointments. This is just to draw the attention of Your Excellency, on how we have been sidelined over the years.

It is on the above note, that we the entire members of APC Etikan ward, Ilaje Local Government hereby appeal to Your Excellency, being a believer in justice, equity, fairness and above all a Governor with good conscience, to please, consider Etikan Ward for the position of either OSOPADEC CHAIRMAN, STATE COMMISSIONERS or DIRECTORATES of boards under your watch.
