AMB. STEPHEN OLA AJIMISAN: THE BEST MAN FOR ILAJE CONSTITUENCY 2 IN 2027.

S. Ola Ajimisan is a prolific writer, scholarly trailblazer and young leader from Etikan Kingdom in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria. He is widely known for his significant contributions to literature, cultural heritage, community and human capital development. Ajimisan was born to the family of Late Patriot Numeri Olorunsola Ajimisan and Princess Esteri Semilola Ajimisan (nee Poroye Olowofeyeku) at Ode-Etikan. His father, Pa. Numeri Ajimisan was of the defunct Unity Party (UPN) of Nigeria under Obafemi Awolowo and Pa. Adekunle Ajasin.
He was a community leader, development advocate and one of those who championed the establishment of Etikan High School, Ode-Etikan.
Amb. S. Ola Ajimisan attended Community Grammar School, Zion-Pepe, and Cherubim and Seraphim Academy, Ugbonla. Ajimisan later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies from Adekunle Ajasin University and a Master of Arts degree in Literature-in-English from the University of Ibadan. Afterwards, he returned to his alma mater, Adekunle Ajasin University for his Ph.D.
His career nestles within the world of University teaching, Literary writing, community advocacy, and development, politics and Leadership.
Amb. S. Ola Ajimisan is a home-bred politician and quintessential intellectual, who is bringing his rich experience in community development service and teaching from elementary, secondary and tertiary level into his parliamentary service and representation of his people at the State House of Assembly. He started his career as an auxiliary teacher at Ode-Etikan and served meritoriously in primary and secondary schools in Ilaje Local Government Area, including but not limited to St. Luke's Anglican Primary School, Ode-Etikan; Local Authority Primary School, Ajegunle-Enuama; Etikan High School, Ode-Etikan, where he taught for three years without collecting salary and in a sterling feat to render essential educational services, mentorship and engender fundamental human capital development. During this period, he taught English and Literature -in-English with expertise, tenacious vigour and humanitarian enthusiasm at Etikan College, Ode-Etikan, Aheri Coastal College, Ajegunle-Enuama and the earlier stated elementary schools. He has up to twenty-six (26) years in the teaching profession to his credit.
He holds a professional certificate in the teaching profession, TRCN and certificate in translation issued by Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) Albuquerque, USA. He is a member of the Diocese of Ilaje's Communiqué Group, Member, Historical Committee and the current Diocesan Communicator. He is currently a member of the team of Ilaje experts currently working for FCBH/TEAM in translating the Holy Bible into Ilaje Dialect in audio format.
Additionally, in a dispensation where language, tradition and other elements of culture are suppressed and relegated to the background, Amb. S. Ola Ajimisan is the first Ilaje Man to have tenaciously devoted himself to the course of linguistic documentation and nuances and published the first ever Dictionary of Ilaje Dialect, which was received with lofty appraisal and commendations.
Ajimisan is a poet, folklorist, Cultural Heritage Ambassador and a highly innovative young leader, who has proven that academic leadership, community engagement and human capital development can go hand-in-hand and birth democratic dividends for the people. Thus, to further drive innovative change, engender development, and a people centred legislation, he will be throwing his hat and gauntlet into the ring in the area of active politics by contesting for Member, Ondo State House of Assembly, Ilaje Constituency 2 in 2027.
