The Coming of Revolution of Blood - Bababo Ikuemonisan.

01|10|2023.

There exists under the sun-baked continent of Africa, a seemingly giant, whose flag is the colours of nature and her leaders marvelous wonder of inconceivable and mindless corruption. It's a place where men work from dawn to dusk, and live not in the sun, but in poverty and darkness.

The poverty in this country is not natural. It's man-made. Men in power made the people penniless, with more people now living in abject poverty and cast into darkness. They believe that when the people are poor, they become powerless and when in darkness, they lack insight and knowledge of their state of poverty.

Cruel politicians and statemen, whose only thought is to keep enriching themselves and keep the people in poverty and helplessness. They do not stop at that, they also interfere with science and technology - taking rational knowledge and inventions away from the people. They will not invest in science and technology, yet budgetary allocation is made for it yearly.

Even when the country is made up of human masterpiece, ingenious and richly inventive minds, they ignore tech gurus and their inventions. They value everything made elsewhere, undermine the country's academics and now take education away from the reaches of the less privileged, by hiking tuition fee across tertiary institutions and justified the madness with the tuitions of Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford. Not even taking into cognisance the geography, the accessibility to the state's wealth, standard of living, the facility and commitment to research excellence.

In this country that have constantly remained the capital of global poverty, it not surprising to hear of a young man who invents a water operating car, herbal cure for HIV/AIDS or youngsters building their own digital banking technology. But this country's political elites are never interested in any invention, discovery or knowledge that will emancipate the people. They interface politics with religion for their own gains and neglect new knowledge and discovery. They avoid strides that will make the people better. They root for gullibility and mediocrity and constantly feed the people lies.

Verily, the continued impoverishment of the people through political means is their ultimate goal and at that, they have succeeded to the point of endangering even their own health and lives. They continued to interfere with any political messiah that attempt to uplift the people. The cabal, you have to play by their cards or become politically redundant, irrelevant or even get killed.

But what the oblivious and helplessly corrupt political elites do not realise is that, political interference with science is usually tragic. What is even more tragic is the deliberate impoverishment of citizens, a precursor to a political clash between social classes and a grim conflict between the wealthy and the downtrodden.

One day, poverty will herald not only a class clash but a bloody war -  A Revolution between the rich and the poor, leading to the ruin of the rich and bringing about their eventual brutish death by the pugnacious, resentful and impoverished masses.

Don't sympathize with the rich as the day draws closer with the skyrocketing prices of the Dollar and Euros, the reality of the fuel subsidy remover bites harsher, their economic masterstroke further leaves the economy distressed and the people unhappy. Rather, empathize with the struggling poor, the country, her people and their future.

Poverty doesn't fall from the heavens, it's often a result of systemic factors. The day will definitely come when the impoverished will fully realize their condition, and they will apparently rise against the state if nothing changes.

The doom for the political elites seems inevitable, of cause, if they remain adamant. Today is in their control because they hold the reins of power. But tomorrow may be for the poor. They must therefore urgently address the rising Dollar and Euros exchange rates biting the people and wreaking havoc on businesses. The President and his men must stop the false narrative of improved economic fortunes when it's evident that the economy is burdening - in fact choking the poor. They must also stop churning out economic data for propaganda, as it doesn't align with the actual conditions of the people. The Most fundamentally, the President and his men must tackle the collective socioeconomic and political challenges they pose before the situation spiral out of control and the poor finally looses it. They must act now because when the people loose it, a bloody revolution is imminent. The EndSARS protect was a clear message that Nigerians are tired. Although, the most powerful group of political elites robbed the people and landed themselves in power against the will of the masses. But, the recent protest seeking justice for Mohbad is loud enough to make them realise that beyond Imole's death, Nigerians are still embittered with the State of the Country and are ever set to unleash the full terror just at the right time.
